Communication from the headteacher

Kigulu Collage is  found in Iganga District, Kigulu North County, Namungalwa Parish Kigulu  College was founded in 1979 and taken up by the Government in 1985.
It is a church founded school (Anglican denomination) but accommodates staff and students of different denominations.
It is a Government aided school with both USE and UPPOLET programs.
The school has a boarding section with 848 students, water supply in the school was improved from one borehole to tapped running water in the whole school.
A new girls wing has been put hosting over 400 girls.
In additional to the traditional games and sports that is football, volley ball and Athletics, Chess, basket ball and rugby have been added on the  list in order  to develop students talents. However the basket ball court is not up to the standard.
We have gone a long way to participate all the tournaments.
We also organize local (School level ) tournaments like Vakumbuzi.
We do hold sports day where the winning team is given a bull.
Priority has been to not only academics but also co-curricular activities.
Last year 2022 the girls volley ball team reached national level and participated in Lira.
This year 2023, our student Nkona Stuart represented the country in the Rwanda for FEASSA games. He got a gold medal in 100m and two silver medals in relays.
In academics, the performance of our students has improved year after year both at ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level. The enrollement of the school has increased year after year.
Future Plans
  • We plan to set up more staff houses and improve on the existing ones.
  • We plan to purchase a school bus to cater for the big numbers.
  • We plan to put more classrooms blocks and multiple Main hall.
  • We shall also introduce more games among which is lawn tennis.

Kigulu College School is blessed with a team of competent, qualified, experienced and dedicated staff who are committed to their job.Their vast experience makes them better positioned to cater for the individual differences of the learners bearing in mind that children of the same age can’t put on the same size of cloth. 
Teachers ensure that all learners are guided and mentored to exploit their full potential.
