Here is a short story about one student’s first day back at school:

The First Day Back

Anya woke up early on her first day back to school. She was excited, but also a little bit nervous. She had missed her friends and teachers over the summer, and she was eager to learn new things.

Anya got dressed in her new uniform and ate a quick breakfast. Then, she brushed her teeth and combed her hair. She took a deep breath and looked in the mirror.

“You can do this, Anya,” she said to herself.

Anya’s mom drove her to school. When they arrived, Anya saw her friends gathered outside the front door. She ran over to them and gave them big hugs.

“I’m so glad to see you guys!” she said.

Anya and her friends talked and laughed until the bell rang. Then, they lined up and headed to their classrooms.

Anya’s teacher, Mrs. Smith, greeted her with a warm smile.

“Welcome back, Anya,” Mrs. Smith said. “I’m so glad to have you back in my class.”

Anya smiled back. “It’s good to be back, Mrs. Smith.”

Mrs. Smith reviewed the rules and expectations for the year, and then she started talking about the exciting things she had planned. Anya was eager to learn more.

At recess, Anya played with her friends on the playground. They laughed and ran around until the bell rang.

After recess, Anya had math, science, and English. She learned a lot of new things, and she had a lot of fun.

At the end of the day, Anya was tired but happy. She had had a great first day back to school. She couldn’t wait to come back the next day.tunesharemore_vert
